Its a great magazine, and getting better, with a lot of insight and good writing on a wide range of useful and just interesting topics - such as Somalia shilling still functioning as a currency nearly 20 years after the end of the central bank and government. The subscription offers are bttter on the economist website.
I've learned a lot about global politics and business from reading this magazine and it continues to deliver the stories that matter. Renewing my subscription was a no brainer.
Worth EVERY penny you pay for it. This is THE magazine politicians, CEOs, monarchs and many decision makers read every week. You know because you will see their names on the letters section when they write in. The advert pages have job adverts for TOP government and company positions. No celebrity BS - EVER. No sports section. No sensationalist headlines in large font...this is a VERY serious publication with over 150 years history and dont waste time with "news" that isn't really news. All the world news the other newspapers ignore or never talk about you will find here. Elections in Paraguay, scientific research in Malaysia, cultural discussions in Gabon, trade agreements between Belarus and Moldova... In depth world analysis that isnt limited to the same 20 nations all the time... If you really want to be informed about the world, get the economist.
